PT Bosowa Corporation

The 11, 57 km Section Four Toll Road (JTSE), is the second toll road in the city of Makassar after the 6 km REFORMASI (section I & II) toll road which has already been in operation since 1999. The JTSE is owned and managed by public listed company, PT NUSANTARA INFRASTRUCTURE (NI), an infrastructure company owned by the Bosowa Corporation. JTSE is the third portfolios of toll roads owned by NI, after the REFORMASI Toll Road and the BSD Toll road in the city of Tangerang, West Java, making the total length of toll roads owned by the Company to 24.77 km.

The JTSE is an important transportation medium for the city of Makassar as it directly connects the city with Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, and is connected to the Reformasi Toll Road which is the gateway to the Soekarno-Hatta port. The JTSE is also a strategic economic connection as it directly passes through the Makassar Warehouse and Industrial Area (KIMA).

The existence of the JTSE has cut drastically the time of transportation from the City to the International Airport, the port area, as well as the Warehouse and Industrial area into only 20 minutes, a significant time saving compared to the previous time need to commute around the area. This would not only save fuel consumption, but also time and effort for business activities in Makassar. As well as transport efficiency, JTSE is also expected to support the growth of tourism, industry, security and economy of the Eastern Part of Indonesia.

The development of the Fourth Section Toll Road of Makassar commenced in 2006 with total investment of Rp. 600 billion, of which Rp. 350 billion are funded by Bank Mega. The predicted volume of vehicles that will use the JTSE are 31,000 per day by 2009, where a Type I vehicle will be charged Rp. 6,000 per ticket.
