Key Milestone

1980 The eighties were marked by the evolution of Bosowa into a major automotive distributor in the Eastern Indonesian Region, and the start of the growth of the Bosowa Group of Companies.

1990 In 1990s Bosowa expanded into manufacturing with the Bosowa Maros Cement Plant, including securing its distribution lines by forming trading and transportation businesses through PT Bosowa Trading International, PT Bosowa Lloyd and PT Mallomo Transporindo.

2000 From 2000 onwards the Bosowa Group continued to expand its scope of business, among other things by opening the Bosowa Batam Cement Plant and entering into the development and management of infrastructure.

2006 The year 2006 was marked by the passing of leadership at Bosowa Corporation from the founding generation, H. Aksa Mahmud, to the succeeding generation, H. Erwin Aksa, as the Chief Executive Officer; together with the kick-off of the transformation program towards Bosowa Excellence.

2007 Bosowa Corporation espouses the new mission of “Being a Blessing for the People of Indonesia with the Pioneering Spirit of Eastern Indonesia.” In the same year, Bosowa Agro Industries entered the palm oil business with land cultivation in South Sulawesi.

2008 PT Bosowa Energi was granted a bank loan facility in the amount of US$50 million to undertake the development of a coal-fired power plant of 2 x 125 MW capacity in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi.
